Chip Spreader

Trout River Australia is a long-standing client of Quantech Design, specializing in the design and manufacturing of live bottom trailers used in the road construction industry. Their goal was to expand their product portfolio by manufacturing their own chip spreader, a critical piece of equipment in road construction, responsible for spreading fine aggregate over wet bitumen.

Elite Crossings, known for their commitment to innovative design and sustainability, took on the project with a vision to create a space that would harmonize with the natural surroundings while offering a dynamic and safe playground experience.

Reamer Positioner

Dunstans, one of our esteemed clients based in Victoria, specializes in large-scale earthworks and directional drilling projects across Australia. They approached Quantech Design to develop a solution for in-house fabrication of reamers, essential tools in drilling, transport, logging, construction, and dewatering projects. Reamers required for their operations could be as large as 3.3 meters in length, 1.5 meters in diameter, and weigh up to eight tonnes. These massive dimensions posed a challenge as existing manufacturing methods were inadequate. Quantech Design was entrusted with the task of designing a custom structure that could handle reamers of varying sizes, meeting Dunstans' specific requirements.

This concept required a groundbreaking design that could seamlessly combine the functionality of both machines.

Quantech Design played a significant role in the redesign of a cadaver storage tank for Wangaratta Engineering, commissioned by GOTAFE. The objective was to replace the existing unit with a design that not only improved overall strength and rigidity but also overhauled the lifting mechanism for enhanced efficiency, durability, and single-person operability.
